Shamindra Caldera is a strategic and results-driven senior Credit Risk professional currently serving as the Regional Head Credit Risk Strategy and Oversight MENAT at HSBC. With extensive experience in commercial and retail banking, Shamindra has held various positions, including Chief Risk Officer and Senior Manager Credit & Risk, where they led significant initiatives to enhance credit policies and risk management practices. Shamindra developed and implemented strategies that significantly contributed to secured lending across the MENAT region, while also championing climate risk and driving innovation in credit processes. They hold an Associate Institute of Bankers degree from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka.
