Valerie Thompson M.D.

Valerie Thompson MD, CPE, currently serves as the Associate Medical Director and Family Medicine Physician at HSHS Medical Group since March 2013. Previously, Valerie held positions as a Family Medicine Physician with Memorial Physician Services from October 2010 to December 2012, and as Interim Medical Director at Assist International Foundation Medical Clinic from August 2008 to September 2010. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant Medical Director in Express Care at Memorial Health System from January 2007 to August 2008 and as a Staff Physician in the Emergency Department at Memorial Medical Center during the same timeframe. Valerie completed residency training in Family Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine from 2004 to 2007 and earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the same institution from 1999 to 2003. Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Illinois College, awarded in 1998.
