Bertrand Cassar

Bertrand Cassar has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Bertrand currently holds the position of Data Governance Officer at La Poste Groupe since May 2022. Bertrand also serves as a Co-director of the University Diploma "Data/AI - Digital Law" and Co-Manager of the University Diploma "Digital Transformation of Law" at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne since September 2023. Additionally, they are a lecturer at the same university since December 2017. In their previous roles, they worked as a Digital expert for France 2030 at Collège numérique France 2030 from October 2023 onwards and as VP IA de Confiance at Hub FranceIA from January 2023. Bertrand worked as a Lecturer at the Institut Catholique de Paris from September 2022. Earlier in their career, they served as President of S.A.U.G.E. S.A.S.U. since October 2014. Bertrand also had a significant tenure at the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Relaunch, where they held various positions such as Project leader, Mission head, and Digital expert, Legal consultant from January 2017 to April 2022. Bertrand also worked as a Product leader and Mission head for artificial intelligence at the Directorate General for Enterprise from September 2019 to April 2022. Prior to that, they had roles as Secretary-General and Administrator at Open Law, le droit ouvert from January 2018 to August 2021. Bertrand was also an Advisor in charge of mission at the same organization from May 2015 to August 2015. Lastly, they worked as a Digital Expert in the dematerialization of public procurement at the Legal Affairs Directorate from January 2017 to June 2019.

Bertrand Cassar's education history is as follows:

- From 2008 to 2012, they studied at Paris-Pantheon-Assas University and earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Private Law.

- In 2012 and 2013, they pursued a Master's degree (MS) in Business Law at Paris-Pantheon-Assas University.

- From 2014 to 2015, they attended the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, where they obtained an Inter-University Degree in Law & Computing.

- In 2015 and 2016, they furthered their education at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne and earned a Master's degree (MSc) (professional master) in Digital Law - Administration - Enterprises.

- From 2017 to 2020, they enrolled as a PhD student in law at the University of Strasbourg, where they focused on Legal research.

- In 2023, they obtained the Legal AI Prompting Star certification from the Legal Design School.
