Christopher Treanor

President, Programs & Specialties at HUB International

Chris Treanor is the HUB President of Programs & Specialties. In that role he is responsible for the development and execution of a strategy to acquire and grow MGAs/Program Managers. He is also responsible for working with HUB leadership and offices to create specialty solutions for HUB customers. Prior to joining HUB in July of 2015, Chris was President of Preferred Concepts, LLC., a nationwide program manager. Chris joined Preferred in 2010 when the company acquired Mercator Risk Services, Inc. a national wholesale brokerage firm which Chris co-founded in 2006.

Prior to founding Mercator, Chris worked for twenty years at Marsh, where he held leadership roles in brokerage, sales and office management. Ultimately he served as Chief Executive Officer of the firm’s global placement operations. Chris was a member of the Marsh, Inc. Board of Directors and the company’s Management Committee.

Chris received an AB in Economics and History magna cum laude from Duke University in 1985 and received his MBA from Columbia University in 1991. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Freedom House Inc, a substance abuse halfway house facility with operations throughout New Jersey, as well as a Trustee and Vice Chairman of Centenary College, a four year private college in Hackettstown, New Jersey.
