Nate Carr has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Nate started their career in 2002 with the Institute for Global Engagement, where they worked in research and communications until 2005. In 2005, they joined the Vermont Department of Public Safety as an Emergency Communications Dispatcher until 2010. From there, they moved on to Hubbardton Forge in 2006, starting as a Customer Service Representative and progressing to roles such as Sales Operations Team Leader, Sales Analyst, and eventually becoming the Director of Customer Interface until 2018. Nate then served as a Senior Business Analyst until 2021 before becoming the Chief of Staff in January 2022 at Hubbardton Forge.
Nate Carr attended Eastern University from 2001 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.

Hubbardton Forge employs approximately 230 people in Castleton, Vermont, at a company that started out over 46 years ago. Today, our award-winning team of designers and makers collaborate to create chandeliers, pendants, wall sconces, floor & table lamps, as well as all facets of lighting for the outdoors. We combine true craftsmanship with the latest technologies, in designing lighting to complement spaces from transitional to modern-contemporary. We use local materials and partner with neighboring artisans for elements like glass, slate, maple wood, leather that are featured in our lighting designs. Our forward-looking design aesthetic is nurtured by our team of designers who understand that although lighting may be one of the last “touches” on any space, it is what you experience first as you arrive.
