Seng Oon Toh has worked in a variety of roles across the tech industry since 2005. In that time, they have been a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley, an Intern at NXP Semiconductors, a Co-op Engineer at AMD Research, a Senior Design Engineer at Advanced Micro Devices, a Low Power Wireless IP Implementation Lead and a Staff Implementation Engineer at ARM, a Venture Partner at Tamarisc Ventures, an Advisor at TMC Group, a Co-Founder at Linus Health, and a CTO and Co-founder at Huckleberry Labs. At UC Berkeley, they developed a convex optimization framework for power-performance optimization of synthesized integrated circuits. At Advanced Micro Devices, they implemented adaptive voltage and frequency scaling capability on Carizzo APU, did low-power advanced development of CPU and GPU, and optimized process technology for 20nm Accelerated Processing Units (APU). At ARM, they were the implementation lead of a CPU design and developed a Cortex-A53 Synopsys reference implementation. At Tamarisc Ventures, they invested in real estate technology companies that improved how we live, work and travel within the built environment. At TMC Group, they were an advisor for a private holding company with real estate and financial investments in the U.S. and Asia. At Linus Health, they were a co-founder and at Huckleberry Labs, they helped families get more sleep by understanding their child's specific sleep patterns and profile.
Seng Oon Toh attended Penang Free School before completing a BS in Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology between 1999 and 2002. Seng Oon then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2011.
