Philip Cardell

Philip Cardell has extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as Operations Superintendent at Hudbay Minerals Inc. since 2009, where responsibilities include safely meeting production and development targets in a fast-paced underground environment. Prior to this role, Philip worked as an Underground Shift Foreman at Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting Co., Limited from 2005 to 2009. Philip also has a background in consulting, having served as a Contract Administrator and QA/QC specialist for a shaft sinking project at Cardell Consulting from 2000 to June 2005, overseeing QA/QC for underground construction and on-site contract administration. Philip holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Manitoba, earned between 1979 and 1982.
