Shruti Appiah

Shruti Appiah is a seasoned professional with a robust background in economics, systems design, and product development within the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. Currently serving as Chief Economist at Huddle01 since May 2023, Shruti leads the design of advanced execution proofing protocols. Previously, as Head of Product at Input Output (IOHK), Shruti contributed to the significant advancement of Cardano's programmability. Other notable roles include Senior Research Scientist at BlockScience, where Shruti focused on designing sustainable economies, and as Founder of Prava, a renewable energy marketplace. In various capacities at ConsenSys, Shruti was instrumental in establishing product strategies and research initiatives related to blockchain technologies. With an educational foundation in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and additional study in complex systems at the Santa Fe Institute, Shruti combines technical expertise with strategic insight to drive innovation in cryptoeconomics.
