Sunny Sowards has a diverse work experience in various organizations. In 2016, they worked as a Vice President at Hudson Housing Capital LLC. Prior to that, they were an Executive Office Intern at the NYC Department of City Planning, where they assisted in the development of a decision-making framework and created materials for a conference. Sunny also worked as a Program Coordinator at the University of Virginia and a Policy Intern at the Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI), where they conducted research and assisted in outreach activities. Sunny further gained experience as a Volunteer Management Intern at Habitat for Humanity of greater Charlottesville, where they managed volunteers and initiated new volunteer opportunities. Additionally, Sunny has worked as a Teaching Assistant and an Orientation Leader at the University of Virginia, where they provided instructional support and facilitated student activities.
Sunny Sowards completed their education history with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering Science, specializing in Chemical Engineering and Global Sustainability, from the University of Virginia. Sunny attended the University from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they graduated from Winter Park High School in 2012, obtaining an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Sunny also holds a certification in Financial Accounting: Part I, which they obtained in March 2017 from the NYU School of Professional Studies.
