Kate Horvat Mfa

Kate Horvat, MFA, is an experienced UX Designer currently working at Hudson Insurance Group since July 2023, where responsibilities include enhancing user experience for Hudson Crop. Concurrently, Kate serves as the UX/UI Lead at Phoenix College, mentoring students in a UX Research externship for Pet2Vets. Previously, Kate worked as a UX Designer at Designlab, collaborating with the University of Saint Mary to redesign a learning management system. As an Assistant Professor and Art Program Director at the University of Saint Mary from July 2019 to June 2023, Kate significantly increased enrollment in the Art and Design program and managed the transition to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kate's experience also includes coordination at Lawrence Arts Center, faculty lectures at Kansas City Art Institute, consulting at Techshop, and serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Arizona State University. Education includes an MFA in Visual and Performing Arts from Arizona State University and a BFA in Printmaking from Northwest Missouri State University, supplemented by a UX Design certification from Designlab.
