Sander Gjokaj has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Sander started their career as a Project Manager at Active Electrical Corp., where they were responsible for planning, budgeting, and estimating functions for industrial and commercial projects. Sander then became the Owner Principal of Powertech Electrical Corp. from 1995 to 2000.
In 2000, Gjokaj joined XO Communications as a Senior Manager, leading a team across the country and overseeing the Power, Architectural, and Facilities Engineering divisions. Sander also served as the North East Facilities Manager, overseeing project budgeting and creating standardization for operating procedures.
From 2012 to 2015, Gjokaj worked at HBO as the GRE, Vice President, Operations & Engineering. In this role, they led the HBO Global Facilities Operations and Engineering divisions, managing 185 employees and overseeing mission-critical facilities globally.
Since 2015, Gjokaj has been working at the Hudson Interxchange as the Senior Vice President of Planning, Design & Construction. In this position, they oversee all aspects of planning, design, and construction for core infrastructure and data center projects. Sander utilizes their relationships with local regulatory agencies to ensure successful completion of large-scale projects in New York.
Sander Gjokaj completed their high school education at White Plains High School from 1988 to 1991, where they pursued the Honors/Regents High School/Secondary Diploma Program. After that, from 1991 to 1995, they attended Pace University - Pleasantville/Briarcliff Campus. Although the specific degree obtained is not mentioned, Sander focused their studies on Physics & Electrical Engineering during their time at Pace University. Additionally, Sander has obtained a few certifications, including the FCC Radio & Telephone License, LEED AP BD+C from the USG institution, and membership in the US Green Building Council.
