Shilpi Chandra

Shilpi Chandra is an experienced professional in the art sector, currently serving as an Assistant Curator at Hudson River Museum since March 2024. In addition, Shilpi has been a Lecturer at Scarsdale Adult School and Hudson River Continuing Education since September 2018, teaching courses on various contemporary and modern art topics. Prior relevant experience includes serving as Exhibition Manager at Pelham Art Center, where Shilpi coordinated contemporary art exhibitions and virtual programming, and as Curatorial Assistant at Katonah Museum of Art, curating multiple exhibitions and managing artists' collaborations. Shilpi's diverse background also encompasses a career break dedicated to art research and writing, as well as earlier roles in marketing, including founding a retail company and working as a Marketing Manager in the pharmaceutical industry. Shilpi holds multiple degrees, including an MBA in Marketing from Columbia Business School and an MA in Contemporary Art, Theory and Criticism from Purchase College, SUNY.
