Margaret Birnbaum is an experienced professional in the museum and gallery sector, currently serving as the Assistant to the Chief Curator in the Department of Drawings and Prints at The Museum of Modern Art since January 2020. Previously, Margaret held the position of Gallery Assistant at Hollis Taggart from November 2018 to January 2020 and completed a work placement at The Foundling Museum, assisting the Visitor Engagement Team in August and September 2018. Earlier experience includes working as a Research Assistant at the Brooklyn Historical Society from May to August 2016. Margaret holds a Master of Arts in Museum and Artefact Studies from Durham University and a Bachelor of Arts in Modern History from the University of St Andrews, along with an Associate's degree from Bard High School Early College.
