Sebastian Pillitteri is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as Community Science Manager at Riverkeeper since May 2017, where responsibilities include organizing a significant community science water quality program with over 100 volunteers and conducting a long-term study on recreational water quality in the Hudson River. Additionally, Sebastian holds the position of Adjunct Professor at Bard College, co-leading a master's program focused on integrated watershed management in Oaxaca, Mexico. Previous experience includes roles such as Petition Coordinator for Jeff Beals for Congress, Research Coordinator for the Institute of the Nature and Society of Oaxaca, and Program Fellow at EcoLogic Development Fund. Sebastian Pillitteri holds a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from Bard College and two Bachelor's degrees in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Riverkeeper
Riverkeeper is a member-supported watchdog organization dedicated to defending the Hudson River and its tributaries and protecting the drinking water supply of nine million New York City and Hudson Valley residents. Riverkeeper is actively involved in several issues and campaigns including, gas drilling also known as fracking, Indian Point, water quality, sewage contamination, pollution enforcement, and Newtown Creek and Gowanus Canal Superfund cleanup. For more than 45 years Riverkeeper has been New York’s clean water advocate. We have helped to establish globally recognized standards for waterway and watershed protection and serve as the model and mentor for the growing Waterkeeper movement that includes nearly 200 Keeper programs across the country and around the globe.
