Suzie Ross, MS, is an accomplished advocate and leader in environmental sustainability and climate action. Currently serving as the New York State Coalition-Advocacy Team Lead at The Climate Reality Project since 2017, Ross co-founded and co-chairs the Westchester County branch. Additionally, Ross is a coalition member of New Yorkers for Clean Water & Jobs, actively supporting the state's Environmental Bond Act. As co-founder and chairperson of Green Ossining, Ross has significantly expanded community engagement through initiatives like Westchester County's largest Earth Day Festival. Ross's involvement extends to the Westchester County Climate Crisis Task Force and Ossining100, where efforts focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As a Town & Village Community Member Liaison for EnergySmartHomes, Ross promotes energy-efficient technologies. Educational foundations include a Master of Science in Climate Science and Policy from Bard, a certificate from Columbia Business School on Sustainable Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Florida.

Riverkeeper

Riverkeeper is a member-supported watchdog organization dedicated to defending the Hudson River and its tributaries and protecting the drinking water supply of nine million New York City and Hudson Valley residents. Riverkeeper is actively involved in several issues and campaigns including, gas drilling also known as fracking, Indian Point, water quality, sewage contamination, pollution enforcement, and Newtown Creek and Gowanus Canal Superfund cleanup. For more than 45 years Riverkeeper has been New York’s clean water advocate. We have helped to establish globally recognized standards for waterway and watershed protection and serve as the model and mentor for the growing Waterkeeper movement that includes nearly 200 Keeper programs across the country and around the globe.
