Christine McCarthy has had a varied and extensive work experience. Christine began their career in 2004 as an Associate for Le Gourmet Chef. In 2006, they took on the role of Stockroom Assistant at the University of Notre Dame, where they were responsible for shipping, receiving, customer service, pricing, inventory, and monthly accounting. In 2008, they interned at Hewlett-Packard and then worked as a Photography Associate for Lifetouch Portrait Studios in 2009. That same year, they became a Software Development Analyst at Northrop Grumman, where they created, updated, and maintained web applications on the company intranet. In 2011, they worked as a Technical Writer at Black Hills Corp, and in 2012 they became a Developer at Styles Logistics, Inc., where they were responsible for internal applications design, development, and maintenance. Christine then worked as a Senior Software Developer for ESRB from 2013 to 2015, and has been a Full Stack Developer for Hudson Valley Lighting since 2019.

Christine McCarthy attended Sharon High School from 2000 to 2004, where they earned their high school diploma. Christine then attended Villanova University from 2004 to 2005, studying Engineering, but did not receive a degree. From 2005 to 2009, they attended the University of Notre Dame, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
