Julia Schonberg is an accomplished community engagement and outreach professional with extensive experience in applied theatre and education. Currently serving as the Community Engagement & Outreach Coordinator at Bethany Arts Community, Inc. since June 2022, Julia combines expertise as the Founder and Core Company Member of The Neighborhood Theatre Project, which focuses on community building through theatrical methodologies. Julia's roles as a Teaching Artist in organizations such as the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and Tarrytown Music Hall further highlight a commitment to arts education. Julia also contributed to innovative projects like "Devising Our Future," aimed at promoting civic dialogue among youth, and "The Harvest Exchange," which addressed social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Holding a Master of Arts in Applied Theatre from CUNY School of Professional Studies and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts from Boston University, Julia brings a rich educational background to their work. Previous roles also include Deputy Director at HOSH Inc., where responsibilities encompassed strategic planning and program creation.
