Richard Acton

Richard Acton (MAPM) currently serves as Vice President of Service Delivery and Head of European Programme and Service Management at Hughes Network Systems, a position held since December 2007. In this role, Richard oversees a team of 15 responsible for Programme and Service Management functions, recently expanding scope to include ITIL-based Service Management. Previously, Richard was a Senior Project Manager at ntl:Telewest Business from 2001 to 2007, leading high-value telecommunications projects across public and private sectors. Richard's earlier experience includes positions as Programme Manager at Trelleborg and Standard Products Ltd, managing significant projects and developing project management procedures. Richard holds an MSc in Engineering Quality Improvement from the University of Bradford and a Graduateship from the Polytechnic of North London in Plastics and Rubber Technology.
