Kristi Coulter is an experienced writing instructor specializing in memoir and creative nonfiction. Currently serving as a Writing Instructor at Hugo House since March 2020, Kristi teaches craft-focused classes including "Making Memoir Funny," "Writing About Addiction," and "Writing the Workplace." Previously, Kristi instructed a yearlong Memoir Writing course at the University of Washington’s Continuum College from September 2019 to June 2020. Kristi's prior professional experience includes significant roles at Amazon from April 2006 to February 2018, where positions included Editorial Director for Amazon Go and Leadership Development Principal, as well as being the Director of Content Development at Rovi Corporation (now TiVo) from September 2000 to March 2006. Kristi holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan and a BA in Literature from New College of Florida.
