Johan Le Men has a diverse work experience. Johan started their career as an Officer in the French Navy in 2005 and later served as a Section Leader in the French Army in 2007. In 2008, they worked as a Research Internship at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research, where they contributed to a published study on lipid regulation in C. elegans. Johan then pursued their education and obtained a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Developmental Biology from École normale supérieure in 2012. Following that, they worked as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Université Pierre et Marie Curie from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, they joined Inserm-Transfert as the Strategic Development Manager & Head of Institutional Partnerships, where they successfully led strategic projects, performed business analyses, and contributed to the growth of support activities for biotech startups. Johan also served as a jury member for tech startup competitions. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Senior Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. In 2018, they joined Philips as the Business Leader for Precision Diagnosis Solutions in Europe. In this role, they managed the business and achieved success until their departure in 2023. Johan then joined Huhtamaki in 2024 as the Head of New Business Programs for Fiber Foodservice EAO.

Johan Le Men began their education in 2005 at École Polytechnique, where they pursued a Master's degree in Science and Engineering, specializing in Cellular and Molecular Biology. In 2008, they joined Ecole normale supérieure and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Genetics and Developmental Biology in 2012. In the same year, they enrolled at ESSEC Business School for a course on Company's strategic management. Additionally, in 2008-2009, they completed a Master's degree in Genetics with a focus on Mouse genetics at Université Denis Diderot (Paris VII) / Institut Pasteur.
