Rich Tobey

Rich Tobey has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Rich currently serves as the VP of Engineering at Huma.AI, a machine-learning enabled knowledge automation platform for life sciences. Prior to this, Rich held the position of Managing Partner at VMAX Consulting LP, where they were responsible for architecting and developing job candidate experience tools. Rich also worked as a Contract CTO at Rail Yard, Inc., overseeing IT priorities and technology selection. Rich has experience in senior roles at SCI MarketView, STTI, Inc., JANA, Inc., and KPMG US, where they focused on financial management, acquisitions, tax analysis, and audits.

Rich Tobey has a strong education background in business and accounting. Rich holds a Masters in Professional Accountancy with a specialization in Taxation from the Texas McCombs School of Business. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the same institution. In addition to their formal education, Rich Tobey has also achieved various certifications. Rich is a Certified Public Accountant, accredited by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy since July 1995. Rich has also obtained certifications in Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified Solution Architect - Professional in June 2020 and AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate in October 2019. Furthermore, they have a Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org, which they obtained in March 2020.
