Kamal Aferchich

Kamal Aferchich has worked as a Research Associate in Quality Control and Assay Laboratory at Humacyte and as a Graduate Student at BRITE, North Carolina Central University, in two different laboratories - Translational Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases Laboratory and Biosensor and Nanotechnology Laboratory. Kamal'swork at BRITE involved developing cell-based assays for proteomic screening of molecular targets for drug discovery, characterizing cell phenotype, and constructing NFAT reporter assays to screen Trk receptors. Kamal'swork also included conducting studies of the antimicrobial effects of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) on anthrax bacteria. At BASF, they worked as an Associate Scientist.

Kamal Aferchich completed a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from North Carolina Central University between 2010 and 2012.
