Tyrone Smith Jr.

Tyrone Smith Jr. is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in human resources management, people analytics, and strategic workforce planning. Currently serving as Program Faculty at the University of Southern California, Tyrone teaches courses on People Analytics and HR strategy while developing AI-related curricula. In addition to academic roles, Tyrone holds advisory positions with the Society for People Analytics, the American Psychological Association, and the Human Capital Institute. Previous leadership experience includes serving as the Global Head of People Analytics at Udemy and as Director of HR Data Science at Ryan, where Tyrone built workforce analytics capabilities from the ground up. Tyrone's educational background includes advanced degrees from Harvard University, Harvard Business School Executive Education, St. Thomas University, and The Wharton School, as well as a Bachelor of Science from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
