Lily Barna is currently serving as an NHGRI Postbaccalaureate Fellow at the National Human Genome Research Institute, specializing in genetics education and communication research with a focus on autism. Previous experience includes participation in the Glass Leadership Institute with the Anti-Defamation League, where skills for social change were developed, and serving as Teaching Assistant Lead at Coursello, facilitating online class functions. As a Summer Research Student at Legacy Health, data analysis was conducted on retinal images related to glaucoma, with findings presented to experts. Additional roles include Hebrew Tutor at Colgate University, Community Leader (Resident Advisor), Retail Worker at Lucky Me Boutique, and Associated Student Body President at Lakeridge High School. Lily was also a Leadership Team Committee Member and Co-Chair for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, raising significant funds for the organization. Lily Barna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Colgate University and completed a semester abroad at The University of Manchester.
