Tharma Athiththan

Tharma Athiththan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Tharma has held various leadership roles in different organizations. From 1990 to 1999, they worked at Credit Union Central of Ontario as a Provincial Network Administrator, where they managed and coordinated ATM and POS transactions and provided technical support for projects involving terminals. From 1999 to 2007, they worked at the Ontario Real Estate Association as a Network Administrator and later as a Manager of Information Technology. In these roles, they planned and organized IT operations, designed and deployed policies and procedures, and ensured the security of data, networks, and backup systems. From 2007 to 2019, they continued working at the Ontario Real Estate Association as a Director of Information Technology, where they ensured the streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with the association's business objectives. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at ACCES Employment as a Director of Applications & Data. From 2021 to 2022, they worked at Pure Industrial as a Director of Information Technology Operations, where they led the implementation of enterprise information systems and provided technical leadership in evaluating new IT products. From 2022 to 2023, they worked at Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada as a Director of IT Education & Assessment. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Information Technology Solutions at HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association, starting from 2023.

Tharma Athiththan completed a brief course in Information Technology at the University of Toronto in 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Engineering (Mechanical) from H.I.E.T, which they attended from 1983 to 1988. In their earlier education, Tharma studied Mathematics at St. John's College from 1980 to 1983. Additionally, there is a mention of their interest in Business Administration and Management, as they studied this field at McGill University for an unknown duration.
