James Servino

Director, Digital Fundraising And Mobilization at Human Rights Campaign

James Servino has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. James started their career as an Intern in the Religion & Faith Program at the Human Rights Campaign in 2007. During their time there, they played a significant role in expanding the organization's network of religious supporters and advocating for LGBT equality.

Following their internship, James worked their way up in the Human Rights Campaign, taking on various roles such as Executive/Board Relations Assistant, Senior Manager Online Fundraising and Advocacy, and Associate Director of Online Mobilization and Social Media. In these positions, they demonstrated strong leadership skills by developing and executing online strategies, mobilizing donors and supporters, and increasing membership and support.

In 2016, James transitioned to the Guam Legislature, where they served as Chief of Staff. In this role, they supervised staff across multiple divisions and oversaw legislative oversight for government contracts and bills. James also managed an office budget of $400k.

Throughout their career, James has shown a strong commitment to advocacy, leadership, and project management. James has successfully implemented strategies and initiatives that have resulted in notable achievements, such as the passage of marriage equality laws in multiple states.

James Servino obtained a Certificate in Social Media Management from Georgetown University in 2014. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, they completed a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Religious Studies from Santa Clara University.
