Kathryn Smith

Kathryn Smith is an experienced communications professional with a background in political communication and a strong commitment to advocacy. Currently serving as Assistant Press Secretary for Programs at Human Rights Campaign since October 2022, Kathryn has previously held roles such as Policy Intern at Brady and Student Communications Assistant at LISC Boston. Kathryn also co-led the Emerson College Chapter of March For Our Lives and managed digital marketing for Meg Wheeler's campaign for State Senate. Additional experiences include interning for U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren’s office and contributing as Accessibility Lead for the Women's March in Boston. Kathryn holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Communication from Emerson College, obtained in 2021.
