Derek Daly has extensive experience in the high-tech industry, with a focus on manufacturing operations and business consulting. Derek has held various roles in multiple companies.

Starting in 1992, Derek worked at AMSC as a Project Manager and Principal Engineer until 2001. Derek then joined Northrop Grumman Corp as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, specializing in fiber optic gyroscopes and sensor components.

In 2005, they transitioned to QinetiQ North America as an Operations Manager, later taking on roles such as Director of Operations, Senior Director of Operations, Group Director of Unmanned Systems, and Vice President of Land Systems. At QinetiQ, they developed and commercialized cutting-edge technology solutions for military and commercial applications.

In 2015, Derek joined Comark LLC, where they served as Vice President of Operations and later became President and Chief Operating Officer. Comark specializes in designing and manufacturing industrial computer and automation solutions for challenging environments.

From 2017 to 2018, Derek served as the Chief Operating Officer at Aquabotix Technology Corporation, a company that focuses on portable underwater vehicles.

Moving on to Hydroid, Inc. in 2018, Derek took on the role of Vice President of Operations, leading the development and production of autonomous underwater vehicles for marine research, commercial use, and defense.

In 2020, Derek joined HII Technical Solutions, the Mission Technologies Division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, as the Senior Director of Manufacturing. HII is the largest military shipbuilding company in the US and specializes in defense technologies and unmanned systems.

Lastly, in 2022, Derek became the Principal Owner of an advisory and consulting firm, providing expertise in business and manufacturing operations. Derek then moved on to become the Chief Operating Officer at Human Systems Integration, Inc., a company focused on wearable technology solutions.

Derek Daly pursued their education in the field of engineering, specializing in Mechanical Engineering Technology and Manufacturing & Production Engineering Technology. Between the years 1981 to 1984, they attended the University of Limerick, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree. Following this, they continued their education at Northeastern University from 1984 to 1987, completing another Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
