Wanda J. Smith, MSW, LGSW, is a dedicated social worker with extensive experience in addressing health disparities and promoting mental health within the African American community. Currently serving as a social worker at the African American Health Program since June 2021, Wanda focuses on high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, HIV, cancer, and mental health issues. Additionally, Wanda works as a medical social worker at Human Touch Home Health Care since December 2020. Prior to these roles, Wanda held various positions at Fairfax County Government from December 2000 to December 2020, including Adult Protective Services Supervisor and Social Worker III. Wanda holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
