Benjamin Copes, FSA, MAAA, is an experienced actuary currently working at Humana since May 2020, where the focus has shifted to Individual Medicare Advantage Actuarial Market Support as of March 2023. Responsibilities include pricing MA plans, forecasting experience, modeling value-based risk providers, and certifying MA bids. Previously held the position of Associate Actuary, conducting pricing reviews and preparing rate filings for Employer Group markets. Earlier experience includes roles at UnitedHealth Group, where responsibilities included claims forecasting and support for the AARP Sponsored Medicare Supplement Insurance Program.
