Christie Burkhead

Christie Burkhead is an accomplished healthcare professional with extensive experience in quality assurance and clinical operations. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Quality Assurance at Humana since November 2004, Christie oversees compliance with quality standards and directs policies and initiatives for Markets and Clinical Operations. Prior roles at Humana include Business Improvement Manager, where project implementation and evaluation aimed at enhancing business processes were key responsibilities, and Clinical Operations Manager, providing leadership and oversight to Humana Cares programs. Earlier in the career at University of Louisville Hospital, Christie held positions such as Charge Nurse and Staff Development Educator, contributing significantly to nursing staff development and patient care. Christie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Registered Nursing from Spalding University and a Master’s degree in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix.
