Himati Patel

Himati Patel is an experienced healthcare executive with a strong background in clinical operations and medical leadership, currently serving as Regional Vice President of Health Services for the Midwest Region at Humana since October 2021. In this role, Himati oversees clinical operations for nearly 900,000 members across five states. Prior positions include Lead Medical Director for both the Midwest and East Regions at Humana, where Himati managed teams of Medical Directors and played a crucial role in a significant reorganization project leading to $1 billion in savings. Earlier experience includes directing utilization management at ApolloMD, serving as an Assistant Professor at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VAMC/VCU School of Medicine, and holding various teaching and hospitalist roles at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the University of Maryland Medical Center.
