Zoie Keast has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Zoie most recently served as the Director of Shelter Operations at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region starting in June 2023. Prior to this, they owned and operated their training and consulting company, ZGK Training and Consulting, starting in July 2021. From April 2021 to June 2023, Zoie worked as the Shelter Clinic Project Manager at Black Dog Animal Rescue, Inc. Zoie also had a role as a Project Manager for Organizational Change at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region from October 2021 to April 2022. Earlier in their career, Zoie served as the Director of Animal Welfare at The Animal Foundation from August 2018 to December 2020. Zoie was also an Animal Shelter Supervisor at the City of Aurora Animal Services from July 2015 to August 2018. Prior to their work in animal welfare, Zoie worked as a Supervisor at Dumb Friends League from October 2011 to July 2015. Zoie started their professional journey as an Assistant General Manager at Gallagher's Steak House from January 2004 to August 2008.

Zoie Keast attended the University of Denver but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Additionally, Zoie obtained a certification as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) from CCPDT in 2022.
