Principal Computer Vision Engineer at Humanising Autonomy

Matt Angus has worked in the technology field since 2012. Matt began their career at Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) as a Student Security Analyst. In 2015, they were promoted to Student Software Developer at the same company. In 2018, they moved to NXP Semiconductors as a Research Engineer Intern. In this role, they extended state of the art world models for autonomous driving, implemented and trained deep learning models, and researched independently. In 2020, they joined Humanising Autonomy as a Computer Vision Deep Learning Engineer.

Matt Angus obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science with a Concentration in Algorithms and Complexity Theory and a Minor in Pure Mathematics from The University of Calgary between 2011 and 2016. In 2014, they completed an Exchange program in Computer Science at The University of Western Australia. Matt then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo between 2016 and 2019. In 2019, they also obtained a certification in Fundamentals of Deep Learning for Multi-GPUs from the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute.
