Zeina Abu-Aisheh

Senior Research Scientist at Humanising Autonomy

Zeina Abu-Aisheh's work experience begins with their role as a Computer Vision Research Scientist at Humanising Autonomy, which they started in 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Shapes AI as a Computer Vision Research Scientist from 2019 to 2020. At Shapes AI, their key achievements include proposing a 2D to 3D matching approach using Deep Learning networks and developing an Explainable AI approach called "Deep Visual Reasoning" for video understanding.

Before joining Shapes AI, Zeina worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Computer Vision at Greyc from 2017 to 2018. Zeina focused on p-Laplacian regularization of signals on directed graphs to address the filtering and denoising of images and 3D meshes.

From 2016 to 2017, Zeina held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher in Pattern Recognition at Université de Tours. Their main focus was on fast approaches for graph classification in pattern recognition, where they proposed a fast k-nearest neighbors approach in graph space with improved classification time and rate. Zeina also contributed to the Neurogeo project, which aimed to create an interactive 3D image segmentation system.

Earlier in their career, Zeina worked as a Teaching Assistant at Polytech Tours from 2013 to 2016, where they conducted courses and supervised graduation projects in various computer science subjects. Zeina also served as a Computer Lab Assistant at Najah University from 2008 to 2010.

Overall, Zeina has extensive experience in computer vision, pattern recognition, and graph analysis, with a focus on developing innovative approaches and techniques in these fields.

Zeina Abu-Aisheh's education history consists of the following chronological information. From 2003 to 2008, they attended An-Najah National University in Palestine, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. Zeina then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from Université Grenoble Alpes, which they studied from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, Zeina enrolled at Université de Tours, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services in 2016.
