Craig Woods has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Craig most recently served as the Departmental Director of Strategy, Programs & Community Solutions at Humboldt Area Foundation since May 2023. In this role, Craig worked collaboratively with the foundation's leadership and strategy team to make a lasting impact in the region by supporting youth and families, racial equity, healthy ecosystems, and a just economy.

Prior to this, Craig held the position of Director of Grantmaking at Humboldt Area Foundation, where they oversaw the foundation's grant and scholarship programs and staff. Craig also managed the grantmaking activities of Humboldt Health Foundation and was a member of the North Coast Grantmaking Partnership.

Before joining Humboldt Area Foundation, Craig worked in various roles at Northern California Community Blood Bank, including Automated Blood Collections Recruiter and Phone Recruiter. In these roles, they managed the Phone Recruitment team, recruited blood donors, and assisted with donor registration and tracking.

Craig Woods attended Eureka High School from 2004 to 2008. Following this, they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Social and Behavioral Science from College of the Redwoods from 2008 to 2011. Craig went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Humboldt State University, where they studied from 2011 to 2013.
