Sebastian Bernales

Sebastian Bernales is a General Partner at Humboldt Fund since March 2020 and has held multiple key positions in various organizations, including Board Observer at HAYA Therapeutics and Board Member at Metagenomi, where Sebastian is also a Co-Founder. Sebastian serves as CEO and Co-Founder of Praxis Biotech, and as a Venture Partner at DROIA Ventures. Additional roles include Board Member at Phage Lab, Scientific Advisor at NotCo and Levita Magnetics, and Founder of Merken Biotech SpA. Since November 2008, Sebastian has also been a Board Member at Fundación Ecoscience, an organization focused on science education and conservation. Sebastian obtained a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and holds a Licenciatura in Biochemistry and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
