Dacher Keltner's work experience includes being the Chief Scientific Advisor at Hume AI since March 2021. Dacher is also the Founding Director of The Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley since 2001, where they study well-being and promotes the application of research to personal and professional lives. Prior to that, they were a Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley since 1996 and directed the Berkeley Social Interaction Lab, focusing on the social functions of emotion.

Dacher Keltner's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Santa Barbara, where they studied from 1980 to 1984. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology at Stanford University, completing their degree in 1989.
