As director of community strategy at Humentum, Kim is responsible for maximizing the value and engagement of Humentum’s membership program. Her priority is to support individuals to be more effective in their work, and organizations to be prepared for the future. To achieve results, she focuses on building networks and communities of practice between practitioners, leaders, and industry partners, helping to create connections between strategy and practical operations.
Kim joined InsideNGO six years before it merged with LINGOs and Mango to create Humentum, during which time she designed and delivered learning events, from conferences to courses. She still enjoys facilitating sessions and trainings, including workshops on facilitation and design and people management.
Kim began her career in international development through her work with Total Control of the Epidemic (TCE) in Namibia. She received her undergraduate degree in anthropology from American University and later earned a Master of Science in international relations from University College Dublin. She is PMD Pro 1 and 2 certified. Kim lives in Washington, DC with her husband, two small children, dog, and feral cat.
