Rebecca Emery

Rebecca Emery has a diverse background in communications and marketing. Rebecca currently works as the Head of Communications and Learning at humm group, a position they have held since August 2023. Prior to that, they were the Head of Communications at humm group from July 2022 to August 2023. Before joining humm group, Rebecca worked at Waitemata District Health Board as an External Communications Advisor from July 2018 to November 2019.

Rebecca also has experience in the insurance industry, having served as the External Communications and CSR Manager at Sovereign from June 2014 to June 2018. Rebecca has also worked in the education sector as the Marketing and Communications Manager at Media Design School from March 2012 to June 2014, and at Auckland University of Technology as the Marketing & Communications Manager - AuSM from March 2009 to July 2011.

Prior to transitioning into communications and marketing roles, Rebecca worked as a journalist for various titles, covering topics such as travel, disability issues, education, and general news from January 2001 to January 2009.

Rebecca Emery completed their Bachelor of Communication Studies degree in Journalism from Auckland University of Technology between 1999 and 2001. In addition, they obtained certifications in First Aid from St John New Zealand and Mental Health First Aid from Hato Hone St John, both in the year 2023.
