Yaxin Zhai is a Professor at Hunan Normal University since April 2021, bringing extensive research experience from previous positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory from January 2018 to February 2021 and as a Research Assistant at the University of Utah from August 2011 to January 2018. Expertise encompasses ultrafast spectroscopy in hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites, singlet fission of hot excitons in π-conjugated polymers, and high optical gain in quantum dots, among other advanced optical techniques. Yaxin Zhai earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Utah in 2017, supplemented by experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, teaching undergraduate physics labs and lectures.
