Joseph Browning

Joseph Browning has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Joseph currently holds the position of Vice President Well Construction at Hunt Oil Company since November 2019. Previously, they worked as the Drilling Manager North America at the same company from December 2017 to November 2019. Before joining Hunt Oil Company, Joseph served as an Advanced Senior Drilling Engineer at Marathon Oil Corporation from April 2017 to December 2017.

Joseph also has experience with Pioneer Natural Resources Company, where they worked as a Senior Drilling/Engineering Manager from June 2012 to October 2016. In this role, they supervised and led drilling activities for horizontal and vertical wells in the Permian Basin and was responsible for the startup of the horizontal drilling program.

Prior to that, Joseph held various positions at Chevron. Joseph worked as a Reservoir Management D&C Advisor from June 2011 to June 2012, a Senior Drilling and Completions Superintendent from June 2008 to June 2011, and a Senior Drilling and Completions Engineer from April 2002 to June 2008. During their time at Chevron, Joseph was involved in overseeing rig operations, safety, and financial aspects. Joseph also developed and designed drilling, completions, workover, and intervention programs for HT wells in the Gulf of Thailand.

Joseph began their career at Schlumberger, where they served as a Subsea Intervention Engineer from June 2000 to April 2002. Joseph led a project team in Norway to develop strategies for subsea interventions. Prior to that, they worked as a Rig Manager at Transocean from May 1998 to June 2000, managing and supervising rig personnel on the Sedco 601 semi-submersible drilling rig.

At the beginning of their career, Joseph worked at Schlumberger as a Location Manager from April 1995 to May 1998 and as a Field Engineer from January 1988 to April 1995. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in drilling operations, engineering management, and project leadership.

Joseph Browning attended Texas Tech University from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering.
