Wyatt Metcalf

Senior Staff Engineer at Hunt Oil

Wyatt Metcalf has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 20 years. Wyatt began their career as a Petroleum Engineer at American Energy Operations from 1998 to 2000. Wyatt then worked as a Drilling Rig Supervisor at various locations, including offshore rigs in the Gulf of Mexico and onshore wells in Bakersfield, where they supervised drilling, completion, workover, and abandonment operations.

In 2005, Metcalf joined Chevron as a Senior Drilling Engineer, where they were responsible for designing and planning exploration and appraisal drilling campaigns in the North West Shelf of Australia. Wyatt also held supervisory roles, including Acting Superintendent, and managed drilling fluids for high volume batch drilling operations in the Gulf of Thailand.

Metcalf subsequently worked at various companies as a Senior Drilling Engineer Consultant on major capital projects, including Talisman Energy, Kosmos Energy, and InterOil Corporation. Wyatt designed and executed deep-water wildcat exploration wells and managed drilling programs in locations such as Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Papua New Guinea, which involved working with stakeholders to develop well deliverables, perform risk assessments, and generate cost estimates.

In 2017, Metcalf served as a Drilling Consultant at Eni before joining Repsol as a Senior Drilling Engineer Consultant. Wyatt worked on projects involving sour gas wells and provided expertise in drilling engineering.

Most recently, Metcalf joined Hunt Oil Company in 2019 as a Senior Staff Engineer. The details of their role are not specified.
