Fred Zhang

Fred Zhang has a diverse work experience. Fred started their career as an Associate Regulatory Compliance Engineer, where they worked with multi-functional teams to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance. Fred then worked as a Manufacturing Engineer, providing operational support and proposing cost-saving initiatives. Fred later became a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, optimizing assembly lines and assisting with supplier qualification. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Manufacturing Engineer, leading New Product Introduction projects and researching alternate components and vendors. In addition to their professional career, Fred served as the Race Director for the UCSD Cycling Team, managing race registration and ensuring compliance with race organizations.

Fred Zhang received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego, where they studied from 2012 to 2016.
