Maureen Kendrick Murphy serves as the Dean of the W. James Samford Jr. School of Graduate and Professional Studies at Huntingdon College, a position held since August 1997. Maureen's extensive experience includes roles as Evening Studies Coordinator and Site Coordinator for various evening degree programs, focusing on student recruitment, advising, and mentoring. Additionally, Maureen has developed and led multiple travel-study programs across four continents. Previously, Maureen held the position of Professor and Chair of the Chemistry Department and has contributed to academic affairs as the Associate Dean and Director of the First-Year Experience. Maureen's educational background encompasses a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina and postdoctoral research at both the University of Chicago and the University of South Carolina. Prior teaching experience includes positions at Russellville City Schools and the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa.
