Carolyn Hoffmann has a diverse work experience in the field of costume design. Carolyn worked as a Costume Director at the Huntington Theatre Company from July 2018 to the present. Prior to that, they were an Assistant Costume Director at The Santa Fe Opera from January 2013 to January 2018. Carolyn also worked as a Costume Design Assistant at The Metropolitan Opera Guild in September 2012 and at The Santa Fe Opera in May 2012 and May 2011. Carolyn served as a Costume Designer at Baltimore in black and white in 2011 and at Dicapo Opera from December 2010 to 2011. Additionally, they worked as a Costume Designer and Costumer Designer at NYU in 2009 and 2010. Carolyn also worked as a Shopper at The Santa Fe Opera from May 2009 to August 2009.

Carolyn Hoffmann obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in fashion design from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Carolyn then pursued further education and completed their Masters of Fine Arts in costume design at New York University from 2007 to 2010.
