James Johnson is an experienced interior designer and job captain with a robust background in architectural design and project management. Currently serving at Huntsman Architectural Group since July 2015, James leads projects from conceptual design through construction administration. Prior roles include working at zumaooh from 2004 to 2015, where responsibilities encompassed all phases of interior design and large-scale project coordination, and at SMWM (now Perkins & Will San Francisco) from 1999 to 2003, focusing on life care facilities and project installations. Earlier experience includes management positions in hospitality and visual merchandising, along with an educational foundation in journalism and art history from the University of Oregon and additional studies at Portland State University and Mt. Hood Community College.
