Jens Schmidt

Jens Schmidt is an experienced professional with a strong background in the footwear industry and innovation management. Currently serving as Manager TS EAIME at Huntsman Corporation since November 2023, Jens previously held the position of CEO at Footwear-Concept & Design GmbH from August 2023 to November 2023, where focus was on direct injection, consulting, and mold design. Jens also led research and development efforts as Head of Research And Development and Director of Innovation at Footwear Innovation Lab GmbH from September 2017 to August 2023, specializing in PU direct injection footwear. Prior roles include CEO of Footwear Concept & Design GmbH from January 2003 to February 2018 and ownership of Schmidt Industrieagentur GmbH from September 1997 to September 2016. Academic qualifications include a Certified Sustainability Manager degree from IHK Pirmasens and a Diplom-Betriebswirt in Economics and Marketing from Fachhochschule Fulda, along with education from Ecole Superieur de Commerce Angers, Loughborough Technical College, and Universitá di Perugia.
