Chris Powell

Chris Powell, CPA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in internal auditing and financial management. Currently serving as the Internal Audit Manager at Huntsville Hospital since January 2021, Powell previously held the role of Senior II Auditor at HCA Healthcare from March 2019 to January 2021. Between 2013 and 2018, Powell worked at LifePoint Health®, contributing to the development of online tools for access review and SOX certifications, and held various positions including Assistant Market Controller, where month-end financial close processes were completed, and Senior Auditor II, presenting audit findings to senior management. Powell's career also includes experience at Capella Healthcare, Inc., and Heritage Bank USA as a Staff Auditor and Accountant, respectively. Academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, both from Murray State University.
