Patrick J. Shannon, FACHE, serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Huntsville Memorial Hospital since June 2021. Previously, Patrick held the position of Colonel and Deputy Commanding Officer in the United States Army Reserve until February 2023. Patrick's extensive healthcare leadership experience includes roles such as Chief Operating Officer at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas (July 2015 - September 2021) and Ochsner Health System (June 2007 - July 2015), as well as Vice President of Surgical Services at HCA (September 2000 - June 2007). Patrick began the healthcare career path as Administrator of Surgical Centers of El Paso and Director of Managed Care/PHO Director at Healthcare Network of Acadiana. Academically, Patrick earned a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of St. Francis and a Master of Business Administration focused on Healthcare Administration from the University of Louisiana Monroe, along with a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from Louisiana State University.
